Amber started performing at an early age and studied singing and dancing as well as acting. Amber and her family moved first to Orlando, Florida and then eventually to Los Angeles where she began work in TV and film.

As well as acting, Amber has written, produced and directed, most notably her own films Chance, starring Buffy’s James Marsters and Angel’s Andy Hallett and Lovers Liars and Lunatics. Amber has also written for the Buffy series of comics and in 2003 she teamed up with fellow Buffy writer, Christopher Golden to write and produce an online animated story, Ghosts of Albion, for the BBC which later got a second series.

Amber has also written her own series of books, the Calliope Reaper-Jones novels. In between all this she still finds time to act regularly in TV and both short and long films.

Amber was supposed to return to Buffy in Season Seven episode, Conversations With Dead People, however negotiations fell through and her part was played by Azura Skye as Cassie Newton.

Amber sang on two tracks of co-star Anthony Stewart Head’s album, Music For Elevators.
