Emma was born and raised in San Diego, and began studying drama in high school at the La Jolla Playhouse and the Old Globe Theatre. Emma attended San Francisco State and UCLA where she studied psycology. On leaving college she again turned to acting and attended, The American School in Switzerland (TASIS) in London.

Having done several guest spots on TV, Emma’s break came when she landed a recurring role on popular teen drama Beverley Hills 90201. After leaving Buffy, Emma has written and produced her own ‘mocumentary’, Bandwagon which includes cameo appearance from some of her Buffy co-stars, including Joss Whedon, which she later turned into a web-series.
